Mastering Rappelz: Tournament Leveling & Gold Farming Tips guide
When leveling in Rappelz, you have a few options:
-
Traditional Route: Level through Moonlight Remains -> Lost Mines -> Crystal Valley -> Palmir Plateau -> Sanctuary -> Cube Dungeon.
- Note: Cube Dungeon is harder than retail. Ensure you have at least +25 Nusylite armor. This can be obtained from most people in the game if you ask!
- Quick Start: Go outside of Horizon, click on the thing to spawn a pixie. Kill it to get to around lvl 160 (at RB29 it will get you to 169+ with SS, GP, Grace active!).
Farming Rupees / Gold
- Gold Farm Dungeon: Use the priest teleporter or all-in-one teleporter scrolls to get there. Utilize the feral gears, unity rings, and other timed equipment.
- Belt Pets: Farm rupee/gold ingots to make your belt pets. Buy empty cards from the Death Tyrant NPC in Horizon and start taming by casting the creature taming skill on the monster you want to tame and then killing it.
- Belts: After taming, get a cheap belt from the Lost Child NPC or farm a lost bear belt in the circus. Aim for a belt that gives +1 skills to your race (Gaia, Deva, Asura). Note: Circus might be challenging at this point.
- Setup: After farming gold, return to town and set up your hotbar with all your buffs/pieces/potions/etc., which can be found at the Lost Child NPC in Horizon.
- Godmother Fairy Bottles: Don't forget these!
- Purified Pieces: 15% pieces are better than all others and can be purchased from the NPC for 10 Tsilvers each.
Survival Tips
- If you can't survive in the 160 dungeon, ensure you have 160 +20 gears to get to 170. These can be purchased at the Hector NPC in Horizon.
- Once you hit 170, you're ready for the Abyss dungeons!
Teleportation Tips
- Buy all-in-one passes to teleport wherever you need.
- Certain spawn points differ between the All-in-One teleporter and the town NPC.
- If the All-in-One teleporter bugs out, return scroll to town and talk to any NPC to fix it.
ProTip
- When your dungeon buff is about to expire, re-teleport to your dungeon (Aby1/2/3) to refresh the ticket without spending much time in town.
Abyss Differences
Abyss 4 Mobs: Give more XP per mob than Abyss 3.
- Abyss 3: Mobs come to you automatically, have zero defense but more HP.
- Abyss 4: Mobs are spread out, have lower HP but more defense, and hit with AOE damage.
Death Match Map
- If geared and ready, skip the above guide and head to the Death Match map using the NPC. It's the fastest way to level to 180 due to the mix of mobs from each Abyss dungeon.
- Focus on killing Abyss 4 mobs like Eye of Punishment and Screaming Banshee for the most experience.
Class / Equip Comparison
Deadeye (Asura) and Marksman (Gaia) are the best all-rounder classes on the server. Once geared, they can comfortably handle all content and are also the best for killing the 205+ Treasury of Spirit dungeon mobs.
Templar (Deva) is the quickest class for Vulcanus if you use Holy Ground, Heaven's Madness, and Hate Aura. It can comfortably farm the 205 dungeon, but it is slow.
For leveling, Void Mage (Asura) and Corruptors (Asura) are very effective due to their large AOE's that deal quick damage. Void Mage is preferred by some, but Templar is another great option due to Hate Aura, especially for Aby4 dungeon.
Gear Recommendations
As of January 2024, 170 weapons are your BEST CHOICE until you hit RB20 and are ready to farm level 215 and 225 gear.
Mage Classes: The best weapon choice is a 1h mace with magewall. This combo is better than a 1h sceptre with magewall or a 2h staff. The 170 1h mace and magewall is often better than many level 200/215/225 weapons. Avoid using level 190 or 200 weapons; they are worse than 170 weapons and difficult to obtain from the level 205+ dungeon.
When farming 170 weapons, focus on getting max critpower rolls. If the weapon doesn't have a critpower roll within 2 of the max possible roll, keep farming. This is crucial as it can give you millions of damage per hit.
MAX CP ROLLS:
- 2h weapons: 40 CP
- 1h weapons: 20 CP
- Shields: 36 CP
IDEAL STATS:
- 1h sword/dagger/axe/mace: 4% mattk, 3% pattk, and max CP
- Magewall: 8% wis, 5% mattk
- 2h spear/sword/axe/mace: 6% pattk and max CP
- 2h staff: no specific stat - aim for as much int/mattk/CP as possible
- Longbow: 6% pattk and max CP
- Xbow: 6% dex/agi and max CP
Buff Slaves
Mandatory: WK and Magus slaves! Get BPOC and make buff armor for them.
- Cardi buffs: 20-30 points better than premium pass buffs, but not worth making a Cardi slave.
- VM buffs: Just okay; premium pass buffs suffice.
- MB buffs: Good if you're an OL/BM.
- BM buff: Pointless, but some say luck increases drop rate.
- Corru - Intuition: Worth it for mages.
- MM: Great for DE.
BPOC Pieces for Slaves:
- Magus: Heavenly Power
- WK: War Palisade
- Corru: Envision
- MM: Natural Leader
- MB: Trait Mastery
Flawless Stones
- Flawless Valor Stone: Strength +99
- Flawless Guardian Stone: Vitality +99
- Flawless Precision Stone: Dexterity +99
- Flawless Spry Stone: Agility +99
- Flawless Mage Stone: Int +99
- Flawless Perception Stone: Wisdom +99
- Flawless Annihilation Stone: Crit Power +20.8, Crit Rate +6.4
Experience Farming Rates at RB30
(During x2 XP weekend, SS active, grace active, self buffs, fully pieced, and x2 XP to compensate for broken growth potions)
- LVL 201: 57.21% -> 89% = 31.79% in 30 minutes
- LVL 210: 4.5% -> 39.91% = 35.41% in 30 minutes
- LVL 220: 6.9% -> 42.37% = 35.47% in 30 minutes
- LVL 229: 2.85% -> 21.9% = 19.05% in 30 minutes

Rappelz Leveling Guide
LEVELING
Every game has a step-by-step process; don’t stop playing if you don’t drop a pet or item right away.
Not everything is free, quick, or easy to get. YOU have to work for it too.
Leveling 1-150
Login, select the server, and create your character.
- If you’re not sure what to play, you can change class and race too.
- Use Priest teleporter, set return point Horizon, and teleport to Horizon.
- Go to Trade Angel, grab All in One Buffs, equip possible weapons and armor, and activate your loot pet in inventory.
- Go to the green-marked locations, click the green mana stones, kill the pixies, and continue.
- (Skill yourself and don’t forget the job level.)
- When you reach 150 and job level 10, go to the job supporter in town (East Horizon) and select your class.
- Skill yourself and your job level to 50. Again, job supporter, and select your class.
- Skill yourself and your job level to 50. Again, job support and promote for masterclass.
- Talk with the abomination girl and select your masterclass. Talk to the priest and teleport back to town.
- Skill yourself and your job level as far as possible. You have all the talent points too.
- JP won’t be enough to be fully skilled.
- If you use the growth potion, which helps you gain more exp in level range 1-150, you won’t have any effect when hitting 150.
- You can’t use the next growth potion for 150+ because the other one has a 1-hour cooldown.
Leveling 150+
- You can level with the manastone pixies, Dark Sanctuary, Gold leveling, and Remains of the Ancients.
-
When you're strong enough, you can go and live in Abyss too.
